Adam Lindsay Gordon – Ballarat 1

Not far from Creswick (yesterday’s blog) is the much larger town of Ballarat. The 19th century poet and horseman, Adam Lindsay Gordon, lived in Ballarat for two years from 1867. The small cottage that was his home has been relocated to Ballarat Botanical Gardens and is open to the public. The cottage is open every day and entrance is free. There is a bust of the poet outside the cottage.
