Henry Lawson 4

Gulgong is the Australian town that most honours the memory of Henry Lawson. The caravan park is named after him, there is a statue of the poet in a small park at the western entrance to the town, and the town has a very interesting Henry Lawson museum.

Housed in a building that was once a Salvation Army hall, the Henry Lawson Centre has many old photographs and published works of the poet.

Gulgong also has a Henry Lawson Heritage Festival every year in early June.
